The Perry Initiative

At the Perry Outreach Program, I participated in a hands-on orthopedic surgery and biomedical engineering workshop where I sutured pig legs, reconstructed simulated ACL and PCL ligaments, drilled and pinned bones, applied and removed orthopedic casts using a cast saw, assembled an artificial knee joint with femur, tibia, and fibula models, and engaged with female orthopedic surgeons and biomedical engineers during a career panel discussion.
